The major T20 teams start playing this week. Australia's first official match is Thursday against Sri Lanka. www.t20worldcup.com/home-pageAustralia has never won the T20 tournament. I don't think that they are likely to win this year either. With the Covid disruptions over the last 2 years form is difficult to judge.

You'd have to think India are probably the favorites.

I tend to agree. A forced gesture loses all meaning and simply becomes token...meaningless. There are a hell of a lot of very bad people who do token things, and there are some very good people who don't. Tony Abott was a good example, got absolutely crucified but spent more time with remote Aboriginal people and did more good for them than all of the latte sippers doing their token FB gestures etc..

Pakistan have had a great start beating both India and NZ. They are likely to finish at the top of their pool.
Australia take on Sri Lanka tonight at 10pm WA time. Too late for me.

I see the ABC sports commentator took this line... Reckon we might have found our new Anthony Mundine.

Seems De Kok needs a viagra as he didn’t stand up for long. He was clearly standing up agains cricket SA that told the team 30 mins before the game they had to do it. he has black sisters. I highly doubt he is anymore racist than you and me. if they said at work we needed to take a knee at the Wednesday staff meeting, I’m sure as sh!t wouldn’t. would you?

According to some commentators in society, because you obviously don't support the BLM cause by taking a knee, you are, by default, a racist. Only goes to show how completely twisted our society has become. And No, I wouldn't either. (Mostly because I'd struggle to get back up again ) A symbolic gesture means SFA if its not backed up by positive action. IN my opinion, People actively ensuring that racism isn't happening in society is far more important and carries far more weight than some sportsman taking a knee because he was told to do so.

England confirmed themselves as a favorite to win the T20 cup. Based on last nights performance Australia will be lucky to make it to the next round.

Australia through to the semi's. Unlikely to get on the podium but in T20 you never know.

NZ beat England and go through to the final.
Australia have to beat Pakistan, who have not lost a game, to get through to the final.

For those of us on the nicer side of the rabbit proof fence the game starts 10 pm Sunday 14th. Mongolia and Perth are in the same time zone. I am tipping NZ to win. Given my record above I am hoping that by tipping NZ, Australia will win.
