This was my second every trail race, first being Sharpy's Beer Run. It was also my longest run ever, with the most elevation I have done in a single run ever.
It was hot. It was hard. I suffered badly on the way back. Missed my goal time by 4 mins, most of which I lost on those stupid stairs.
But it was also awesome, well run and a fantastic atmosphere in-spite of Covid. I swore afterwards that I would never do the full thing again, but I am already thinking about it.
Anyone else have a go? Which event did you do and how was it?

I did my 4th Two Bays on the weekend. 3 attempts @ 28km and 1 attempt @56.
I finished just after 10am and had noticed the temperature was starting to creep up, so well done on sticking it out in the heat.
The other event to look into is the Wonderland Run held in the Grampians in August. Organised by the same team with a similar community and atmosphere and guaranteed not to be hot (although it may snow). You would also have qualified for the 2022 version by finishing under cutoff.

Yeah, we are considering Wonderland, mostly because it won't be hot! The already qualified thing did grab me, shouldn't be a big thing but with all the drama of the last few years qualifying can actually prove difficult. Great job getting another one done.
