Have you ? I started the other day. I knew them back in the late 70s. What I have done so far:-
* Tracked them to electoral rolls online but could only do to 1980 * Confirmed who their parents were * Could not find death notices for them or parents or listed in a couple of cemeteries in Sydney * Could not find them in phone directory, including parents
To look at electoral rolls after 1980 or marriages after 1952, I have to travel to Sydney to view (not keen - 60 km trip). I have not signed up to Ancestory.com but it may be an option for a 14 day trial. I am not keen to pay for it just yet. Has anyone used Ancestory.com and would it show really recent info if I don't have their exact age or address - even if they don't live in Oz.
Has anyone tried or have any thoughts for online options ?

So basically it's a matter of building your own tree with grandparents etc with all their links and then filling in the living people You could get clues from BD&M but I don't think Ancestory.com will work if you're looking for the living

We did a search for old friends.from high school a few years ago. There’s a few simple ways on FB if you know married names. Sometimes it’s as simple as googling their name. “Hiding in plain sight” on the internet. When you google a name, the search results come up with a heap of photos. Sometimes you can jag a pic of the person your look8ng for an$ the description may list the surname and location ie, John Smith, TJI Fridays end of week happy hour. Geelong Advertiser. Gives you a few leads there.
