As always, accommodation in Port is always at a premium. In 2019, I couldn't find anything under $400 a night for two so transferred for free (luckily, as Port didn't make it from 2020 until 2022).
So, I decided to look for accommodation early. Still exe but you expect this. However, I have picked up something down at Flynns Beach for a great price - 4 nights/$578 (air-con; kitchenette' BBQ) - the last one. Sure, it's a little bit out of town that I like but I am saving at least half the cost. And the good thing - can cancel free up to mid-April and pay on arrival.
Has anyone else arranged accom or have a permanent booking ?

I need to find myself some accommodation, used to stay at country comfort, then across the road at the le George, but nothing seems available. Anybody aware of any options?

Blobby, One of my club mates has pulled out. I'm following up for you, I'll report back when I find out if their accommodation is still available.

My club mate has just cancelled at Mid Pacific Motel, on the corner of Clarence and Short Street (closer to the finish line than Country Comfort). Said there were a few rooms available now. $400/night, but that might have changed for any new bookings. Good luck.

lack of accommodation was the reason i chose not to do it. I tried AIR B N B, but it was also miles away. Decided to do Busso instead.

thanks for the updates, I ended up booking with TriTravel, they had a few options $1650 for 5 nights (Macquarie Waters), so not to bad and it has a kitchen as well. Used to spend around 850-1200, so was a little more, but the digs look to be better. I'm just doing a tri, so not after fancy accommodation and usually don't bother cooking, but may this time.

Hey all, I've just had to cancel out from the event. My accomodation has just been postponed to 2024. If anybody is looking, My booking was at El Paco which is right at the finish line and it was for Fri, Sat, Sun nights. This is now available, I hope this can help somebody.
