Here in southern Mongolia, on Friday the temperature was 31C during the day. On Saturday the winds picked up. Overnight it dropped to 2C and 70+ km/hr winds. About 400 km south, from where I am, there was an Ultra Marathon in China. 21 runners died of exposure. 21 Deaths in Ultra
The ultra's that I have taken part in, in Australia and Mongolia, have all had a minimum equipment list, including warm clothing and rain protection. I have always thought that having to carry all of that extra stuff was a pain in the ..... However one it might save your life.
