Not much talk here about doing many races, apart from the biggies (e.g., IMs, HIMs, Husky etc). Are people not really racing anymore or just not telling us? Are you lot doing local club races?
For me, I don't do my local club races as the bike is a 1 km loop track. Not really interested in doing a 20-lap ride. Since September, I have done WS HIM, Nepean, Husky Classic and then heading down to Batemans Bay in 2 weeks then Port HIM. I haven't done Batemans Bay since 1993 so looking forward to a new course. Last May I did the Club champs for the 1st time ever so that was good too.
Next season looks pretty small as I will be away on holidays at the end of May and differing times during August, October and December.
So, what have you done and/or are going to do - Tris, Duathlons, runs, cycle races - anything. Doesn't matter what distances, I am just interested.

PS: GregB decided to knock out 4 races over the Husky weekend - all with a smile. That's pretty cool (and tiring).

Since September? Melbourne, 70.3, Hobart 70.3, our clubs racing, the central west interclub series - the series was finally won today by mudgee, ITU XDuathlon at Crackenback with Sunshine coast coming up - I'll do Townsville and Port Stephens also, Ironman Australia, undecided about Western Sydney 70.3, lead rode for the local running festival last week. I guess people just don't post about all of the races they do.

Getting over a major psoriasis attack developed in the days before Husky. hoping to start running this week with a view to doing an actual triathlon in May (Port Stephens or club champs). THEN I’m planning on a 3 month strength and condition program during winter, plus winter swim squads (first time in 15 years), twice weekly 2 hour morning rides through centennial park, with some more running thrown into the mix. Spring and summer next year will be spent alternating between sprint triathlons and Aquabike races in preparation for the big build into the Aquabike World Championships in Townsville next August. … also toying with the idea of doing a course reconnaissance to Townsville - doing their standard distance race in august this year. but that will largely depend on whether there will be any similarity between that course and next year’s WC course.

Well AA7 and Cranky raced Mooloolaba yesterday and took 1st and 3rd places respectively.
I haven't raced in 3 years, but am sticking my toe back in the water and am planning on racing Wollongong in April. Have min 2kgs to lose to get into my tri shorts 😳
Challenge Canberra is back and I'm considering doing that in Nov...

The Mrs & I still ride regularly, do a little swimming, and a little walk-running as we try to recover from injuries (me adductors, her another knee meniscus tear). Trying to get back to the point where I can run 5kms to do some Sprint races. Port Stephens on May 13th is a goal. Teaching the Mrs to swim so she can try the Super Sprint in Port Stephens. She hates swimming, and even though her stroke is quite good, she tires fast. Our daughter will fly down from Brissy to do the Sprint with me as she has joined the Helix Tri Club in Brissy and is getting back into it a bit.
Anything longer than Sprints I do not see in our future. Longer Gravel/MTB events possibly for me.

We decided to make it a double family weekend so both grandparents, our son & DIL plus grandson stayed up in Fingal Bay and enjoyed a 4-day weekend, doing the race (my son and I) then celebrated on the Sunday. Hoping there might be a few blackfish (luderick) about too by then, will bring the fly-rod and my weed flies! Damn they are fun on light gear.

I've just done a backyard style ultra with 5.5km and 250mtrs of vert per loop! I last 7 before getting timed out for an 8th by seven seconds!
I've withdrawn from IM Wales, my heart just isn't in it if I'm honest but I still have these.
April 1st- a 70km run with only 800mtrs vert May 1st - 50km local race with 900 mtrs. (went 5.52 last year) May 20th - The Classic Qtr in Cornwall, 77km and 2,000 mtrs July 8th - 100km Race to the Stones with 2,200 mtrs Sept 16th - 80km Chiltern Wonderland 1800 mtrs Oct 6-8th - The Atlantic Challenge, a trail marathon a day on the North Cornwall coast for 3 days finishing at Lands End.
All prep for Arc 100 miler next Jan
