I think our views on movies differ. Nobody - 8.5/10 - good representation of this style of movie.

Been meaning to watch it for weeks now, but haven't had the time. Odenkirk has said he trained for like 2 years to get ready for this movie.

Zack Snyders Army of the Dead is a bit of a yawn........if nothing else for the 2.5hr run time I nearly turned it off after the stupid 10 minute long intro with all the music. Guess if you like seeing zombies get their heads blown off it's good, but agree meh waste of time..

Half way through a film called Domino on Prime. Quite good so far, done a film noir style with a good score. 'Jamie' from Games of Thrones is in it, as well as Guy Pearce.

Movie dude on ABC wasn't too kind about it. Then again, sometimes you just wanna park your brain outside and enjoy something for what it is.

David Stratton has a particularly good series on Australian films on the ABC at the moment (other than the few times when David speaks about - well David) - currently being repeated on Saturday afternoons and is on iView for the next month. He's got me going back to look at some movies that I've heard lots about, but never watched

Cruella I was surprised, very well done, a friend is thinking nomination for costuming will be in its future. Personally, this is what I wold prefer when Disney goes and does their live action remakes of their animated classics. (Ie, take a character, whether major or minor, and focus on them, and their back history.) overall - the characters had depth, the casting was well done, the sets were pretty. 9/10.

Watched the Rammstein in Amerika doco on Prime. I'm a big Rammstein fan but even I thought it was a bit long. Pretty good though.

Gotta feel for Alec Baldwin. Why does any gun on a movie set have real bullets in it? Sounds like the whole gun safety protocol on that set was a disaster waiting to happen?

So I saw the new Thor movie last night. I am normally a big Marvel Universe fan but, was it just me or was this a REALLY bad picture. Did they need someone to watch over Taika Waititi's should to say "No, that wont work. No, that part's not funny". I loved the music, a big cast with some great cameos and at least one of the performances (Christian Bale) was great. But..... What did you think?

Went to the flix twice in the last 2 weeks.
* "Elvis". Don't waste your money. 2/10. We were the only 2 in the theatre. * "Where the Crawdads sing". Very good movie. Not the usual bells and whistles type movie. Not a single flat spot. 7/10. There were 8 other people in there.
This is the first time EVER that there were stuff all in the theatre.

On the other side of the lens we have this happening just near our place, drive past it every day. www.theleader.com.au/story/7783450/mad-max-returns-to-kurnell/Also had a Toyota ad getting filmed in the street yesterday too. We get lots of that sort of stuff here, my neighbours on either side have been used for ads and tv, and the neighbours behind are in the NAB ad.

The original Mad Max was made with the "Halls of Justice" at the ex-sewerage pumping station (now scienceworks) in Newport with some of the road action filmed around around Moolap (point Henry, Geelong) not far from the Geelong 70.3 course. So there!!
