Its been a strange couple of days, having missed Cairns 12 months ago, then having it deferred to September and still not able to get from Vic to QLD, again nearly missed out this year.
Originally planned to travel up on Saturday, my wife convinced me yesterday to change it up, got on 6am flight out of melb and have just landed in Cairns.
Hope others from Vic can make it here for this years events.

that is so sad, but extremely creative. Pretty sure I won't be doing anything like that. At the moment, just working away as if I was in my house at home. I'm still stunned that QLD have allowed entry then back date it to before we arrived. Strangely the only people I came into contact from midnight to arriving were the people on the plan and we were all masked and as we have been told, Masks are the saviour NSW took a sensible approach and based it on the time of their decision - 4PM. In that way would carry on as a local. Attachments:

So if money/time no object Fly to NZ no MIQ, then onto Kona. NZ has no restrictions on leaving NZ, can be a problem getting back in Then as a Australian Book return to Aus and go into MIQ in Aus

Saw an email saying if you haven’t been in Queensland for 2 weeks you can’t race due to the Vic extension.
Free transfer to next years race.
Not sure how they will check you have been there or if they will even bother.
But if you don’t transfer and get caught out, you lose your entry.
Big gamble when entry is 1000$

So cairns. FAST SWIM TIMES.
Person I know swam a 1:08. They can’t even do that in a pool pushing off the ends. Usual swim time is 1:18-1:22
