Am I the only one who runs on an average ride between 1.4 to 2 W/Kg on smart trainers ? Most of the riders I see are hooting along from 3.5 to 4.8 W/Kg - sometimes for over 30 kms. Am I just lazy or one of the rare few who actually put down their correct weight?

Depends on the platform that they are using. I set me weight and sometimes it may fluctuate a 1kg or 2 difference at most over months, but pretty much set and forget. Usually when on the trainer, I'm training to power so not really relevant. I have been doing a few unstructured rides on FulGaz and was interesting seeing my recovery sessions and Wkg and looking at those on the leaderboard and realizing they are seriously hurting themselves (or trainer doping).
As it doesn't affect me, I don't worry, but if you were racing them seriously it could be frustrating. I guess that's the other bit I laugh at on Zwift is the drafting benefits. I've had colleagues that do an indoor ride of 100k on Sat morning and they can stay with the bunch, and I know I have struggled to get going with them, yet if they went outside with our group, I have no issues holding the bunch, and yet they are dropped quickly.
