So how long until NSW begins to allow its citizens to home quarantine after overseas travel if they're vaccinated?
NSW currently has thousands of non-vaccinated people Home Quarantining that are close contacts or confirmed infected, why can't we do this with vaccinated travellers?
NSW has no hope or plan of getting to zero.

I don't think it will now get back to zero now. It will get to high vaccinations rates and that will allow a certain percentage to float in the community. A bit like how the flu is allowed to operate.
What I want to know is when will you need a booster - yearly ?? I have heard that some people in the US have had a third dose after having waited a year after their first doses in 2020.

Uk has started doing boosters too. In theory after mid November when we have 80% vaccinated, we can get boosters too. I’ll be getting mine as soon as I can.

Scomo is like that one person on Ironman morning that starts 20 minutes behind everyone else. and when shown on the race video at awards night, everyone laughs. except this time no one is laughing

Zoran Radovanovic, 52, the Rose Bay resident whose real estate jaunt across NSW plunged Byron Bay, Richmond Valley, Lismore and Ballina into a week-long lockdown has historical convictions for burglary, theft, criminal damage, drug and forgery offences.
In 2000, he successfully appealed a federal attempt to deport him to Serbia. Administrative Appeals Tribunal deputy president Forrest said he was “not satisfied that [Mr Radovanovic] passes the character test” but exercised his discretion to allow him to stay in Australia.
Radovanovic has now been charged with seven offences, including three counts of not complying with public health order directions and four counts of failing to comply with check-in requirements.

The 5km rule is farking awesome for you guys in Sydney.
in Victoria its a 5km radius.
there
5km rule for all of Greater Sydney In Greater Sydney and other lockdown areas, the 10km rule will be cut to 5km from 12.01am Monday, August 16, with shopping, exercise and outdoor recreation to be done in a person’s local government area (LGA) or, if outside their LGA, within 5 kilometres of home.
meaning on the northern beaches, isn’t manly to palm beach the same council?

the northern beaches, isn’t manly to palm beach the same council? Yep. They probably wrote the rules with much smaller council areas in mind. Similarly if you head west you'll find Hornsby LGA extends from the M2 in the south to Brooklyn and Wisemans Ferry in the north. Continuing west and the Hills Shire runs from Northmead in the south to, again, Wisemans in the north. Compare the above to say City of Ryde which is a mere nine kays south to north.

"exercise and take outdoor recreation within your local government area or up to 10km from your home (from the start of Monday 16 August 2021, a 5km rule will apply)" My interpretation is that as of tomorrow you can only go up to 5km from your home and you can't leave your LGA. So pretty much the same as Victorian rules. Certainly doesn't mean you could drive from Manly to Palm Beach (Warringah LGA) to go for a walk.😆

Do you really think any state will open at 80%?

Nsw will be open before 80% Agree. Nsw is so far ahead of all other states. for one, they have accepted they will always have cases. something everyone else in the world has accepted except for Aussie premiers. fark, even Scomo has accepted that we will always have cases.

I don't really understand the logic of a curfew. If the idea of the stay at home orders is to stop people mixing then someone out for a run at 10pm interacting with very few people has to be better than going out for a run at 6pm and crossing paths with every man and his dog out for a walk.

Its to do with stopping people (and therefore the virus) moving around. Unfortunately if they allow one "loophole" for any specific group of people, every self-entitled person with their ill conceived concepts of "essential" and/or "exercise" will go out of their way to exploit it. And even though its highly unlikely that a person out running at 10pm will come across another person, the chance is still there that it will happen. We have a few groups around here who for various reasons are regularly out (with and without their dogs) after 9pm. Some are exercising, some are winding down after work (our local paramedic is one of these), and some are staggering home from the local watering hole.

Stay at home orders and curfews are only justified under emergency powers. Who seriously thinks that 20 COVID cases a day in a city of 5 million is a genuine public health emergency? Dans all about power. the 66 people have an engagement party and he then closes all parks for kids that can’t go to school and see their friends. dan is an arsehole.
