So reports today that Victoria has almost run out of Pfizer vaccine and calling on other states to give theirs to us. Wonder what this means for those of us who have had shot 1 and awaiting the second? Water injections pretending its pfizer.

Victoria's lockdown was extended over two infections from 'fleeting' stranger-to-stranger contacts that turned out to be virus-free false positives.

Meanwhile doing the school drop off this morning, noticed a rego recognition camera set up on the exit out of town heading towards the Prom.
We're out for dinner at the local pub tonight to assist them get going again, and for the kids doing well during lockdown. Told the MIL who's been staying with us she won't be able to go as they are checking ID for anyone entering - very upset MIL who we reminded needs to return to Melbourne. So far every day of this lockdown she has been out visiting others, doing grocery shopping etc just because she is plain bored. Only a matter of time now until she is sent back with a fine - won't listen to us though. Businesses down this way are all saying IDs will be checked and entry / service will be refused at this stage to anyone from Melbourne

They have had over a year to get this sh!t sorted and it just lurches from one crisis to the next.

She’d have to prove it, which means you’d have to speak on her behalf unless she could show receipts she was there before lockdown started. but she doesn’t have to return to the city.

From July the Medicare app will show your vaccination status. I wonder how long until the rules for vaccinated people are different to the rules for non vaccinated.
I have a QR code for my vaccination. Next week I will be flying to Ulaanbaatar for a few days. I will have to show my QR code to fly, to go into bars, gyms, night clubs, etc.

I also wonder how Australia and other countries are going to recognise and authenticate vaccination status from other countries. In particular will Australia recognise my Sinopharm vaccination.

ACT opened up the vaccines to the 40-49s today. Had to create an account on some ACT health site and then was able to book away. Could've booked for tomorrow but I've headed up to Cairns, so booked for the week after we get back. Woot!! Hopefully they'll let me travel soon as I'd like to see my parents again.

UAE started with Sinopharm and added the others later. Today is my 6 months after second shot and we are permitted to get a Pfizer booster from that time. I'm going first thing tomorrow.

We heard that there was a Pfizer clinic up our way, and that they received more during the week than they expected. My wife tried to book last night but it wasn't working, so she turned up at about 6.30 this morning and jumped (or hobbled with her cane more likely) into the non appointment queue. Got her Pfizer jab so is over the moon! Especially because we always expected her to be a category 1b (like me) due to her conditions, but she only meets the requirements of she's on at least one of a multitude of various drugs for her disability, and she's been on every over of them in the past but currently not on any of them, do was a bit peeved.
Now she'll be all smiles and won't be in a bad mood for all the waiting. Particularly for having to wait for so long. She took her scooter with her but the portable one doesn't handle grass well (particularly wet grass), and that's what she had to queue on.

And she said, when she was there that their own booking system was down, so we're basically taking the word of people who said they had a booking and were in the booked in queue! System really is a shammozle.

The state government / CFA has given the directive here in Vic regional that we are not to attend the stations for anything other than required call outs. Just got back from the station with another member, we figured after 2 weeks of no maintenance we should do a quick check over the equipment not used in our call outs over this time. Good thing we broke the rules, the truck for attending car accidents had dead batteries and wouldn't start, as well as a few minor issues that needed to be fixed. Meanwhile the paid metro firefighters are able to attend work as per usual and do this regular maintenance and checking despite being in harsher lockdowns.
Great rule making, leaving the first responders unable to get to events in a timely manner - can't see a possible future coroner report being at all critical on that.

Silly, didn't you know people who are in Unions are immune to Covid? They have they best vaccine, the Laborpharm injection..

Or you’ll be caught in red tape forever.

More than 744.48 million doses of #COVID19 vaccines had been administered across China as of Friday, the National Health Commission said Saturday.
As of November 2020, China's population stood at 1.412 billion
so they have done half the country so far.
australia has done 4%
very sad.

Are we at 4% already? I'm assuming 4% fully vaccinated, not just the one dose figures the govt continually trots out when asked about how many are vaccinated? Wow, that's more than a 100% improvement on the last figure I'd heard, which was 1.9%

First dose. That’s what Scomo judges as someone being vaccinated

In all fairness, China is not known for putting their citizens welfare first. They probably did the first 100 million doses as part of the approval testing

I don't look at your link, but I assumed about 20% with one dose, because a week or so ago they were saying 4mill, so would have to be at about 20% by now.
My 19yr old daughter and her boyfriend went out to the local clinic this morning and we're first in the non booked queue and got their Pfizer. She was close enough to here the staff briefing. She said only Toowoomba and chinchilla were accepting walk-ins was they both received extra doses. They were also saying that some schools had been in touch after hearing about yesterday and they would be bringing in some of their boarding students; I'm assuming ones that live across state lines, with the hope they won't get trapped here if there's another state border shutdown.
My wife, who was a walk-in yesterday, had tried to book on Friday but the system get freezing, so gave up and just turned up. She got home about 9am from the clinic, then at 9.23am received an email that her booking was confirmed for 9.24am that morning! Maybe they should let Ticketek or someone run their booking system? Might not be perfect, but couldn't be worse?

Just saw a document from the acting Premier here in Vic in which it has been stated regardless of whether restrictions are lifted this Thursday, Greater Melbourne will not be allowed to travel to regional Vic for the long weekend

But will hurt regional businesses. they just need to allow schooling back after the long weeekend. Would make heaps of people happy.
