So it appears that we're going to be expected to get a 4th covid shot.Which from what I can see is the same vaccine used in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd shot which has already been determined to be less effective against the Omnicron variants.
This smells like a smoke screen. Lets push the media focus towards Covid so we can hide something else thats even worse.

My mum has had the worst skin reaction to the pfizer after 2 AZ.
shes 79 and said she will never get another.
I've had 3 and been in so many close contacts with positive people, I've lost count and still not got covid.
We even had a friends kid sleep over for a weeks who was sniffling the whole time and she tested positive on the sunday night when she went home, yet none of us caught it.
Then in Hawaii for 10 days with ZERO trying to not get it and we didnt.
So my family is either the exception tot he rule or so lucky. Or the vaccine worked for us (mind you miss 9 hasn't had a vaccine and my wife had her last shot back in Jan.
I wont be rushing to get my 4th.
About the only way I would is if I had to to travel or keep my job.

Pfizer, sinopharm and JnJ. Boosted and me double boosted. The other three flew home to the US last week. All got the Rona. That said, noone was particularly unwell and symptoms for 36 to 48 hours only. I think vaccines did their job by adding to immunities and keeping people alive.

Finally some data report here but summary below. www.health.gov.au/resources/publications/coronavirus-covid-19-at-a-glance-15-july-2022The median age of those dying from Covid in Australia is now 83 years old - the same age as the nation's average life expectancy. The federal health department's latest Covid report exposes as myths the claims being used to drive Australian authorities to re-introduce mask mandates and continue having Covid cases isolate for seven days. The data comes as St Vincent's Hospital in Sydney said they have just 'one or two' patients in ICU - with top doctors confirming the winter wave is far less severe than those to have previously hit Australia. 'We certainly don't have many,' confirmed a hospital spokesman on Monday. 'It's not presenting so much on the very acute side, where patients need ventilation.' The vast majority of those who have caught Covid are under 50, with 3,121,953 cases so far. Just 293 people under 50 have died of the virus since the pandemic began. The statistics show that since Australia's mass vaccination rollout began, those under 50 face a less than one in 10,000 chance of dying from Covid. 'The median age of all those infected is 31... [but] the median age of those who died is 83,' the latest federal health department 'Coronavirus At A Glance' report states. Australia's average life expectancy is 82.9 years of age. Most killed by Covid were men over 70 and women over 80, accounting for 7,585 deaths out of the nation's total virus death toll of 10,582 as of 3pm on Friday.

Well now we'll find out how contagious it is. Yesterday, I went to the office for the first time in 6 weeks to do some work with new starters and have a team lunch. Today the boss tells everybody he's tested positive to Covid. We sat next to each other during the lunch.

My wife got a bit crook when she was in the NT last week. Transpired one of her tour group tested positive. My Mrs tested negative before flying home. Once home we slept in the same bed, obviously and the next morning she tested positive. We didn't bother isolating as I figured it was already too late for me. So spent all week in the same room/ bed etc. I wore a mask at work and also tested every day (PCR) and now more than a week later still not positive. Go figure.

The vast majority of those who have caught Covid are under 50, with 3,121,953 cases so far. Just 293 people under 50 have died of the virus since the pandemic began. So the risk to under-50s was negligible. Gee, I wish I'd said that two years ago Oh wait...

Fauci is now warning everyone about a new variant of omicron, 'BA.5'
Or as some are labelling it, the 'midterm variant'

I shared drinks (the actual glass) with a person that tested positive later that evening. She’s been smashed hard too. Yet neither me or her boyfriend who lives with her is positive after 16 days. we were in a private room with 30 people for about 6 hours. go figure. im amazed I haven’t got it yet. So many situations I should have. I got a massage about 3 months ago from a positive case too. Got the text the day after.

Joining the labor party might be the only way back.

There are statistics and there are statistics..... While I was away on a NSW rural holiday, my 90 year old aunty fell and fractured her pelvis. She was taken to Westmead Hospital. After 3 days there, she contracted covid. She hated the hospital so after 7 days, she was allowed to return to her retirement village (care section) in isolation where they could manage her pain and covid. 5 days later she passed away. This coming Monday we will celebrate my aunty's fantastic life. A 90 year old nun who looked after the sick and dying; who worked in remote islands, who loved her family and vocation; who marched for the rights of the disadvantaged and....was one of the best card players I have ever known. Finally she will get time with her dad that she missed out on from age 10 when he died. There are statistics and there are statistics.

And now.... the daughter has covid for the second time. She has been suffering pericarditis for the past 4 months when she got it after her first covid positive. So far, only headaches with no heart problems.
We call her prisoner 427 as she is confined to the back of the house. Everything delivered at half way down the hall. Spraying, gloves and masks all round. We are fine after 4 days. Funnily the day she went positive, we got our 4th vaccinations in the morning.

Today the boss tells everybody he's tested positive to Covid. We sat next to each other during the lunch. 2 Week Update Had zero symptoms and a clear RAT at 5 days and zero symptoms at 10 days. Been crook as since. No doubts its covid but don't have a spare test to confirm and frankly can't be bothered to go out and get one. Koala Bear tested positive yesterday. She's only been back from NSW 7 days so she was in the window.
