What did you plan to do? What did you actually do? Pleased with your results or a bit disappointed?

Zwift. About 50min in the Volcano. It was good because I am treating it more as a game nowadays rather than a training platform. But you could argue that one follows the other.... LOL
So my goal is level up asap. So I try to ride different circuits each time and chase the achievement badges.
Not doing too much as I have to do the three 120km rides this weekend.

First day back after week out with a sore back. Good session of stretching, working core and bit of light cycling and rowing this morning, when weather breaks here will get the dog out for a light run ~2kms

11 hrs of sanding and painting lounge room coving. Pleased with the result! That sounds awful! It's definitely satisfying once it's done though.

I spent 10yrs yesterday on the bloody thing and don'y get me started about having to paint the ceiling 5 (yes 5! ) times. This is the last room n the house, we've done all the others. The house is a small 3 bed semi that feels like the bloody Taj Mahal when you're prepping and painting it!

15 minutes of stretch cords. Half pulls and full pulls(think swim stroke), rows 2x20, external rotator work 2x15, 2x20 chest flys
Then
30min regeneration effort Zwift. Flushing out the legs.
Need to jog more I'm thinking. Easier to drop kgs than cycling.

Easy run......I wish my easy run looked like that. lol
6km walk on the trails this morning with Stikman and the kid. Had plans for some other stuff, but struggling emotionally today. Being gentle with myself instead.

Easy run......I wish my easy run looked like that. lol 6km walk on the trails this morning with Stikman and the kid. Had plans for some other stuff, but struggling emotionally today. Being gentle with myself instead. It was a short run for an easy one, so I adjust pace accordingly. My usual easy run is any where from 25-35km and more like 5.40 pace. Sometimes I'll do a trail easy run and that can mean as much walking as running. I've worked pretty hard on my running for close to two years now. Last Sunday was meant to be my marathon at Newport and was on track for sub 3.45, maybe sub 3.40 if the stars aligned. To put that in perspective, for my 55yr AG, I would need to better than 3.12 for a GFA entry to London! There are some proper fast oldies out there! I think it's important to do what you 'feel' in these times. I definitely have good and bad days mentally and adjust what I want to do depending on that. Staying strong in these times, is more important than being fast.

Zilch, still technically at work - been told to prepare the team for a recruitment drive - 3 years worth of intake in a 2 week time frame. Got to love government decisions and funding on the run.
Pulled up okay today from first day back yesterday, but think the body is okay with another rest day. The dog on the other hand is just looking at me and shaking her head

FTP builder session on Zwift. This will be my focus for a while as I am as weak as water on the bike. Can go for ages, but not very fast.
Oh, and yoga. Which is my other focus right now.

On top of yesterday's run, I clocked up 10 hrs working on the garage (concrete pointing) and unloading/loading everything and being on my knees for for most of it. I'm absolutely spent today and battled a migraine all bloody night. Promised Flipper a bike ride later, so reckon that will be it today, my friggin hips are on fire

Yeah gonna be a light day for me. I forgot to mention that I cut the hedge after doing the garage, which is problematic, as I'm allergic to our hedge (I think it has poison ivy in it) and I forgot to put a long sleeved shirt on. Yesterday, my right arm really flared up and is itchy AF. I know from experience that getting it hotter through swat makes it worse.
So an unplanned rest day and nobody to blame but myself! A 'potter' in the garage will be it today.

I did a brief pilates video. I was going to do a zwift session but feminine issues have prevented me from feeling up to it. Have started making a new plan for life. Pilates may feature. Once I learn how to do it and get strong enough to perform simple moves.

Is there a good source of Pilates videos that is available online? I need to do some more core and want to mix things up a bit

I've liked this chick best so far. www.youtube.com/user/pilateshappyhourShe's a physio (physical therapist) as well as a pilates instructor. She gives a lot of really good information in the beginner video. And some of the other specific ones have been really good also.

Well....
*sad violin music
I tried to get FulGaz up and going to complete the 3x120km training rides I had planned for the ZRAW(Virtual Race Across the West) It just kept freezing. Even shutting down ALL other WiFi draining devices in the house, multiple reboots of the PC and lots of swearing it won't play. So.....
I will be doing Curve Cycling's Nullaboring Challenge. Which is posted on their Facebook account. It's basically ride 1500km with 3000m gain as fast or slow as you like. I'll be using the Tempus Fugit loop as per the requirements on Zwift. It'll be a total of 70 laps.
Currently 12min in to the first 4hrs. This challenge suits me* and my body(fingers crossed)
*Readers Benefit - I was doing the 3x120km rides to see what my immune system would do. Since getting, whatever I had, in Mid December my body does not like too much load. The symptoms of "whatever" return and I'm bed ridden for a couple of days. So I was testing the waters.

Take it easy Sammy. Now is not a time to be pushing boundaries, monitor yourself carefully.
Kind of a grey zone run for me. It wasn't hard but definitely above easy pace. 14km, 1hr13 @5.15 pace.
